Kratos™ Micro Synthetic Fiber Reinforcement is widely used in all kinds of infrastructure and superstructure projects as a shrinkage reinforcement material to prevent early-age cracking. Kratos Macro offers the most effective solution against superficial shrinkage and structural cracks that occur under load, which is the biggest weakness of concrete in all applications.
MACRO PP FIBERS
Kratos Structural Macro Synthetic Fiber Reinforcement is being produced from the highly resistant raw material Polypropylene according to EN 14889-2 Class II and ASTM C 1116 standards. Kratos Macro offers the most effective solution against superficial shrinkage and structural cracks that occur under load, which is the biggest weakness of concrete in all applications. Highly engineered optimized fiber design ensures a homogeneous 3-dimensional distribution in concrete and Kratos Macro provides allaround crack control by increasing load bearing capacity of concrete under service and design loads of the structure.
MICRO FIBERS
Kratos Micro Synthetic Fiber Reinforcement is being produced from the raw material Polyamide 6.6 according to the EN 14889-2 Class I standard and provides superior results in terms of preventing early age plastic and long-term drying shrinkage cracks when compared to polypropylene and basalt fibers. In contrast to other synthetic fibers, Kratos Micro is capable of absorbing up to 5% of the moisture. Moisture that is retained by the fibers when the concrete is freshly poured is reintroduced to the concrete as it sets, resulting in an internal curing effect. This minimizes the formation of cracks due to heat and shrinkage and improves structural integrity.
REBOUND MINIMIZER
Kratos Rebound Minimizer, a synthetic fiber reinforcement specially designed for shotcrete, is a recent addition to Kordsa’s product range, which reduces rebound in tunnel-driving and mining applications. Kratos Rebound Minimizer fills the gaps between the cement and aggregates, thus reducing the rebound by up to 3-fold.
Reduces the rebound of shotcrete by up to 70%.
Specially designed for underground tunnel-driving and mining applications.
In addition to improving the quality of the shotcrete, it also provides savings in labor and total costs.
POOL FIBERS (PX)
Kratos Pool Fiber is a high-performance synthetic fiber reinforcement made from a polymer specially engineered by Kordsa. Thanks to its 3-dimensional homogenous distribution, this product offers effective protection against shrinkage cracks for pool plaster applications. Kratos Pool Fiber is used for cement-based pool plastering applications. The dosage of this product is 150 gr/m3.Thanks to its special polymer structure, the fibers do not form clumps and disperse homogenously in the mixture.
